The table tennis team earned seven top three finishes, including two titles, at the South Shore Championships October 28-29 in Libertyville, Illinois.
Jeff Yamada was part of both wins, with a victory over Sid Naresh in the Under 2450 final. He also partnered with Massao Kohatsu in the Open Doubles event, defeating Yichi Zhang and Jinxu Yang in the championship match.
Bangyao Sun stopped Liedy Handoko in the process of finishing second in the U2200 event. Alex Legaria defeated U2300 champion Roger Liu in the U2450 event, and ultimately took third. Legaria also partnered with Santiago Sevilla for third place in Open Doubles.
Filip Cajka finished third in the U2300 event while Michelle John finished third in the U2000 division. Jake Arciniega defeated U18 Girls Champion Maria Sirakova on the way to a third place finish in the U1950 event. In Open Singles, Joaquin Kanashiro advanced to the round of eight before being eliminated.
