Table tennis won five individual titles at the 2017 Fall Kansas City Open November 4-5 in Overland Park, Kansas.
It was almost a clean sweep in the Open Singles Round Robin, with Lions taking three of the top four positions, led by Jeff Yamada in first. Massao Kohatsu finished second and Alex Legaria took fourth. Yamada and Kohatsu swapped positions in the U2500 Round Robin event with Kohatsu winning the title and Yamada taking second.
Lindenwood also earned victories in the U2300 and U2100 Round Robin events with Sun Bangyao taking the U2300 title and Kevin Choo taking the U2100 title.Â
In one of the only divisions that the Lions didn't win, volunteer coach Roman Sivkov represented Lindenwood well with a second place finish in the U2000 Round Robin. The Under 1900 Round Robin title went to Jake Arciniega.Â

The Lions host the National Collegiate Table Tennis Association (NCTTA) Divisional 1 Tournament November 11. Competition begins at 9 a.m. at Evan's Commons on the Lindenwood campus in St. Charles, Missouri.
