The Lindenwood women's tennis team concluded its 2016-17 season with a 5-0 loss to Northeastern State in the first round of the MIAA Tournament on Tuesday morning.
The match started with doubles in which the Riverhawks collected victories No. 1 and 3 first. The Lady Lions pushed them at No. 2 behind the play of
Anna Barbasheva and
Rebeca Aguilar, but ultimately fell by a final score of 8-5.
The Riverhawks sprinted through the Lady Lions in their next two matches to clinch the first-to-five wins dual. They picked up the two wins at No. 2 and 3 singles in straight sets.
The Lady Lions finish the season with an overall record of 9-14 including a 2-7 tally in conference play.
