The Lindenwood track and field teams were in action at the Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola, Iowa on Friday. The event is one of the largest track meets in the Midwest, with over 1,000 competitors.

The Lions and Lady Lions won three event on the day. On the women's side,
Anna Tyan won the high jump and the 4x100 relay team of Tatiana de Jesus Silva,
Camry Bradford,
Kendra Smith, and
Erin Hodge took first. For the men,
Michael Mlambo won the 100m race.

Two other athletes earned third-place in their respective events.
Regina Huesca Barrales took bronze in the 400m hurdles, and
Akintunde Akinyemi was third in the high jump.

Other top highlights included
Erin Hodge finishing fourth overall and first among non-Division I runners in the 100m hurdles, and Tyan having another top-five finish by coming in fifth in the triple jump.

Lindenwood will have several athletes in action on Saturday at the Drake Relays.
