The women's rugby second XV played to a 27-27 draw with the Mid-America RFU Sunday afternoon in St. Charles, Missouri.

The All-Stars struck first in the contest, but the Lions responded with a score from Jessica Laughlin and
Haylee Thull added the conversion to make it 7-5. Lindenwood added to the lead and carried a 17-5 advantage into the halftime break.
Both teams traded scores back and forth as the second half unfolded and it was 27-15 Lions with 13 minutes remaining. The All-Stars continued to work the ball down the pitch and scored to pull within seven points. They earned possession in the final moments and scored again with no time on the clock to make it 27-25. The All-Stars slotted a crucial conversion in the wind to knot the game at its conclusion.
Lindenwood was led offensively by freshman Kiarah Mosley in an integral attacking role. Moira Dillow was a force on defense for the Lions, who celebrated their fall senior graduates
Liliana Trejo and
Ariana Lewis at the game. The match was also the annual "Pink Out" for Breast Cancer with proceeds benefiting the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Billy Nicholas was appreciative after the contest.
"A big thank you goes out to our fans and everyone that supported the 'Pink Out,'" he said. Also a shout out to the Lindenwood band who was also very supportive on the day."
Women's rugby next competes at the Arkansas 15's Tournament November 10 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
