The Lindenwood women's tennis team lost 4-3 to Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday in St. Charles, Mo.

The two teams tied in singles competition, but the Lopers picked up the extra point in doubles to take the one-point victory over Lindenwood.Â
Dana Minakova had the best showing in singles after winning 6-0 and 6-3.Â
Natalia Cordero won her two sets by slim margins of 7-6 and 6-4.

Kylie McCarthy had a wild match as she won 7-6, 1-6, and 10-5 to give the Lions the third team point in singles.Â
Haya Hamed and McCarthy teamed up for a 6-4 win in doubles, but the Lions could not secure the final team point.

Lindenwood will head to Maryville, Mo. on Friday to take on Northwest Missouri State at 2 p.m. in MIAA action.
