The Lindenwood men's and women's tennis teams each picked up a win over Quincy on Saturday in Quincy, Ill. The men's team (3-0) earned a 5-2 victory over the Hawks (0-5), while the women's squad (2-1) swept Quincy (1-3) 7-0.
Natalia Cordero led the women's team as she won by scores of 6-0, 6-0 over her opponent.
Fernanda Poblete allowed just one point in her two sets combined, while
Paula Sostres surrendered just two points in her two set victories.
Juan Pablo Herrera won his match handily, defeating his opponent by scores of 6-0 and 6-2, respectively.
Logan Orr went three sets in his match, winning the first set 6-2 and his third set 6-4. Herrera and
Hector Horcajada swept their dual competition 6-0 to help the men's team to a 5-2 victory.
The men's and women's tennis teams will host Lake Superior State on Tuesday, March 3 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Charles, Mo.
