Lindenwood track & field competed at the Mel Tjeerdsma Classic on Saturday.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Keely Gustafson finished 7th in the 60 Yard Dash with a time of 8.04.
- Tomi Bamigbade finished the 60 Yard Hurdles with a time of 9.07, good for 2nd place.
- In the 200 Yard Dash, Bamigbade secured 7th with a time of 26.31. Gustafson finished 8th in the event with a time of 26.42.
- Jessica Markel (1:01.52) and Rosette Hoyte (1:01.55) finished 6th and 7th, respectively, in the 400 Yard Dash.
- Rachael Morrison competed in the 1 Mile, finishing 3rd, with a time of 5:20.78.
- Najwa Chouati earned the first place spot in the 3000 with a time of 10:22.54.
- Emma Mays finished 9th in the High Jump, reaching 1.52 meters.
- Nicole Barton finished in first in the Pole Vault with a height of 3.50 meters.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- Jameel Walkes-Miller came in 9th in the 60 Yard Dash with a clocking of 7.00.
- Samuel Yaro finished the 200 Yard Dash in 3rd with a 22.04 time. Walkes-Miller was 7th with a time of 22.25.
- Armani Modeste recorded a time of 1:13.01 in the 600 Yard Dash, finishing 5th.
- In the 3000, Louis Moreau set a meet record with a time of 8:30.90.
- The 4x4 of Yaro, Damaine Dixon, Dorian Leda, and Modeste combined for a 2nd place finish and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships.
- Jarom Alexander finished with a distance of 6.73 meters in the Long Jump, which was good for 3rd.
- Logan Kulinski reached a Division II Provisional distance in the Weight Throw, recording a 18.85 in the event.
