Lindenwood swept the team titles in Trap, Skeet, and Sporting 5-Stand (Rabbit) at the Miner Classic Missouri S & T Shoot February 20-21 at Winchester Trap & Skeet in Olin, Illinois.

The squad of Michael Blazek (96), Trace Hatfield (97), Chloe Turasky (94), Jolene Dawson (93), Ethan Mathias (95), and Morgan Blaine (93) combined for a team score of 475 out of 500 targets to win the Team Trap competition, topping second place Connors College by 13 targets.  Hatfield earned Male Trap Co-Champion honors while Turasky won the Female Trap Championship.

In the Team Skeet event, the squad of Blazek (97), Brandon Stone (96), Matthew Blankenship (96), Reece Sparks (96), and Ryan Loveless (96) totaled 481/500 to win the championship, once again ahead of second place Connors College.  Blazek earned the Male Championship and Tylee Totenbier was the Female Skeet Co-Champion.

The Lions won the Sporting 5-Stand event by hitting a combined 226 out of 250 targets to finish 15 targets ahead of Connors.  Stone (47), Chase Cunningham (44), Ryan Pena (44), Ethan Blaettner (47), and Marcus Reed (44) contributed to the Lindenwood total.  Stone and Blaettner shared the individual championship in the event.

The Lions swept the top four spots in Individual High Overall Men's competition.  Stone was first with 235/250, followed by Blazek (231) in second, Blankenship (230) in third, and Hatfield (229) in fourth.  Dawson finished first in Women's High Overall competition with 218/250, followed by Totenbier in second with 214.

The Miner Classic attracted teams from seven different schools including Connors College, Drury University, Eastern Oklahoma State College, Hannibal – LaGrange University, and Missouri Valley College in addition to Lindenwood and host Missouri S & T.

Shotgun sports hosts the Lindenwood Invitational February 27-28 at the Gateway Gun Club in Bridgeton, Missouri.
