Lindenwood track & field finished the final day of the GLVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, with
Armani Modeste being named the conference's Freshman of the Year on the men's side.
WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The Lions placed fifth among all competing teams at the Championships with 56.5 points.
- The Women's 4x100 Relay squad earned an NCAA Division II Provisional Mark.
- Rosette Hoyte, Tomi Bamigbade, Keely Gustafson, and Tea Siehou collected second-team All-GLVC honors in the 4x100 with a school Top-10 All-Time mark of 46.72.
- Hoyte, Jessica Markel, Gabby Russina, and Gustafson earned second-team All-GLVC marks in the 4x400 with a time of 3:54.07.
- Nicole Barton earned 3rd in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.65m.
- Ashley Shoemake (7th, Hammer), Keely Gustafson (10th, 200), Rachael Morrison (5th, 800), Najwa Chouati (3rd, 5000), Tomi Bamigbade (8th, 100 Hurdle), and Lexi Hafford (6th, Heptathlon) all tallied Lindenwood Top-10 All-Time performances at the Championships.
- Lexi Hafford was touted as the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree for Lindenwood on the women's side.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
- The Lions placed fifth among all competing teams at the Championships with 69 points.
- Armani Modeste earned the conference's Freshman of the Year honors after meeting DII provisional marks with respective times of 21.26 and 46.95 in the 200 and 400.
- Damaine Dixon earned a DII Provisional mark in the 400 Hurdle, while Jacob Opdahl garnered a Provisional Mark in the Javelin.
- Modeste was selected to the first-team All-GLVC in the 200 and 400, with a Lindenwood All-Time Top-10 time in the 200 of 21.26, and a school NCAA-era record time of 46.95 in the 400.
- Jacob Opdahl secured first-team All-GLVCÂ in the Javelin with a throw of 62.67m.
- Dixon captued first-team All-GLVC accolades with his showing in the 400 Hurdle.
- Louis Moreau earned 3rd in the 1500, while Boris Charles, Dixon, Modeste, and Benjamin Evers finished 3rd in the 4x400.
- Gage Rowland and Alex Norzagaray finished the Championships 3rd and 8th, respectively, in the program's Top-10 All-Time performance list for the Decathlon.Â
- Chaz Casey was selected as the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree.
