Shotgun sports won the High Overall Team title and swept all of the event team titles as well at the Drury University Panther Classic September 18-19 at the Bass Pro Shooting Academy in Ridgedale, Missouri near Branson.
The squad of
Sam Korbs (379),
Ethan Boyer (364),
Ryan Loveless (364),
Konnor Vohs (360), and
Tristan Stubbs (358) combined for a total of 1,825/2000 to earn the HOA title, topping the University of the Ozarks Eagles by over 30 targets. Â
In individual action, Korbs hit 379 out of 400 targets to win the High Overall Title. He also shot perfect scores in the skeet and wobble events and won the Sporting Clay competition. Stubbs won the Wobble event with a perfect score after a shoot-off. Freshman
Wyatt Newby took the Double Wobble trophy with a score of 45/50.
In women's competition, freshman
Casey Byrd claimed the Women's High Overall Championship with a score of 346/400. She also won the Women's Trap title with 71 targets before posting a perfect score in the shoot-off.Â
Tylee Totenbier earned the Women's Sporting Clays title with 86/100 and won the Women's 5-Stand with a score of 46/50.Â
Katelynn Decker won the Women's Wobble Trap event.

Shotgun sports returns to the range this weekend for the Missouri Fall Handicap September 24-26 at the MTA Homegrounds in Linn Creek, Missouri, and the Lions will host seven schools for their annual Lindenwood Invitational home shoot September 25-26 at the Gateway Gun Club in Bridgeton, Missouri and at Nilo Farms. Â
