On Wednesday, the Lindenwood women's tennis team fell to the Missouri Western Griffins in a 8-1 loss.

In doubles play, the Lions found their only victory through the pairing of Natalia Cordero and Juliana Kulczynski. The two beat their Griffin opponents by a final score of 6-4, walking away with the lone Lindenwood win of the day.

Claire Martin had the strongest singles performance for Lindenwood despite not getting the win. The graduate student lost her first set 7-2, but brought things to a close 7-6 final score in the second set, putting up a good fight against MWSU's Anya Chavez. 

Up next, the Lions have a GLVC match with Baker to keep things rolling. This match will take place on Sunday at noon at the Lindenwood tennis courts.
