Between the men's and women's teams, Lindenwood had six top five finishes, including one winner at the Central Missouri Mule Relays on April 15.
The lone winner was in the Men's Javelin, as senior
Jacob Opdahl's fourth throw went 62.95 meters, which was over two meters further than the next closest finisher. Opdahl is currently fourth in the nation in the Javelin.
Maxime Touron finished just a couple tenths of a second behind the winner to finish 2
nd in the 800 meters with a time of 1:53.25
Running the 1500 meters for the first time this year,
Louis Moreau finished 4
th in a time of 3:52.17
Lindenwood thrower
Logan Kulinski also had a terrific day with a 7
th place finish in the hammer with a throw of 56.69 meters.
The Lions success in the field events continued over in the triple jump as junior
Ju'Qui Womack finished 8
th with a jump of 13.46 meters.
On the women's side,
Rachael Morrison finished second in the women's 5000 meters in a time of 17:38.83 which moves her up to third on the Lindenwood all-time top performers list.
In the Hammer, sophomore
Ashley Shoemake threw a NCAA qualifying mark of 53.48 meters which was good for 5
th and moved her up to fourth in the Lindenwood top 10 list.
Lindenwood's 4x400 tea, of
Jessica Markel,
Marketa Wagner,
Nadia Pulliam and
Brenna Colpitts finished in third place with a time of 4:11.04 while the 4x100 team of
Carina Chalmers,
Yuriko Harewood, Wagner and Emma Cooper finished with a time of 51.40 which was good enough for 7
th place.
Competing in her first outdoor event in her college career, freshman Kira Van Den Ham finished 7
th in the pole vault with a jump of 3.45 meters which vaulted her into 10
th place on Lindenwood's top 10 list.
Rosette Hoyte (2:19.12) and
Jessica Markel (2:19.59) finished just outside the top 10, finishing 11
th & 12
th respectively, but both ran well enough to crack the Lindenwood top 10 outdoor performances list.
