The Lindenwood cross country program competed in its first event of the season on Friday at the Redhawks Cross Country Invitational in Cape Girardeau, Mo. The men's team took third place, while the women's squad finished in sixth place.
Anders Hekkli finished with a time of 18:58.4 to take 10th place as the top runner for Lindenwood in the men's 6000m run.
Maxime Touron took 14th place with a time of 19:10.4, while Jonny Key and
Timothy Maxwell each finished under the 20-minute mark for the night.
Holly Harding finished in fourth place with a time of 14:25.7 in the women's 4000m race.
Kirsten Huffman (16:19.5) and
Kaili Decker (16:45.0) were the other top finishers for the Lions.
Lindenwood will return to action on September 17 to compete in the Billiken XC Invitational in St. Louis, Mo.
