Shotgun sports won the Division I High Overall Team title and Lions claimed seven individual crowns at the National Collegiate Shooting Sport Athletic Association (NCSSAA) Clay Target National Championships March 13-19 at the Clark County Shooting Complex in Las Vegas. Competition featured 100 targets each in Super Sporting, American
Tristan Stubbs-HOA Champion
Trap, Trap Doubles, Sporting Clays, American Skeet, and Skeet Doubles. Lindenwood hit 1,434 targets to finish 13 ahead of second place Georgia Southern.
In the Super Sporting competition,
Grace Corselli took second place in the women's category after a shoot-off with a score of 82/100.
Tristan Stubbs came second in the men's category with 91/100 on a challenging course. Stubbs (91),

Matthew Blankenship (85), and
Klayton McGee (84) combined for 432/500 to tie Georgia Southern in the team event. No shoot-off was held, so the Lions shared the Super Sporting Team Championship with the Eagles.
Corselli shot 94/100 to take runner-up in Women's American Doubles Trap.
Jacob Diller,
Ryan Kraemer, and Blankenship all tied with 97 to enter a shoot-off to decide the champion. Diller ultimately won with Kraemer taking second and Blankenship taking third. Blankenship (97), Diller (97), Kraemer (97),
Ryan Loveless (96), and McGee (96) combined to shoot 483/500 and claim the team title, finishing 14 targets ahead of Georgia Southern in second.
In American Doubles Skeet, Corselli hit 97/100 to enter to tie Emmy Zerby from the University of Alabama. Corselli ultimately won the women's individual title after a six-target shoot-off. In the team event, Corselli (97), Sparks (96),
Sam White (96), Loveless (95), and McGee (95) combined for 479/500 to edge the Crimson Tide by a single target in the team event.
Klayton McGee-HOA 2nd
Konnor Vohs,
Wyatt Quick, and
Christian Jackowski all tied with perfect 100's in American Skeet to enter a shoot-off. Jackowski missed early to secure third place, leaving Vohs and Quick to battle it out for the title. The two were neck and neck for the next five pairs, but Quick missed on his sixth pair, leaving the door open for Vohs. Vohs hit his pair to secure the individual title, shooting 14 straight targets. In the team competition, Jackowski (100), Quick (100), Vohs (100), Stubbs (99), and McGee (99) combined for 498/500 to take first in the team event, finishing six targets ahead of Georgia Southern in second.
In American Trap,
Jolene Dawson tied with Zerby from Alabama with perfect 100 scores. The impending shoot-off lasted six targets with Dawson coming out on top for the women's individual title after Zerby lost a pair of targets. Two Lady Lions tied for third and entered a shoot-off.
Bailey Lueders and
Chloe Anderson matched each other until Anderson missed her 12
th shoot-off target, giving Bailey third place. In the men's category, Diller and Mcgee tied JT Osborne from the Crimson Tide with perfect 100's. Mcgee missed early in the shoot-off to secure third place. Osborne and Diller battled multiple rounds before Osborne missed his 27
th bird, giving Diller a chance to secure the title with another hit. Diller did just that to win the men's title.
In the Team American Trap competition, Dawson (100), Diller (100), McGee (100), Anderson (99),
Brad Phillips (99), Lueders (99), Stubbs (99), Blankenship (99), and Loveless (99) combined for 498/500 to take first place over Alabama by just two targets.
Jolene Dawson
In Sporting Clays, Corselli tied Cheyenne Anderson from Georgia Southern for first place in the women's category. The two were neck-and-neck through the first 11 pairs of the shoot-off and shot so well that the pair was changed to offer more of a challenge. From there, it only took one more pair to determine the winner and that proved to be Corselli, who hit 24 straight targets to claim the individual ladies title. In Men's Individual Sporting Clays, Stubbs took the championship outright, missing just one single target out of his second 50 to post a score of 95/100 overall.
Konnor Vohs-Skeet Champion
In the Sporting Clays Team competition Stubbs (95), McGee (90),
Trace Hatfield (89), Jackowski (89), and Vohs (89) combined for 452/500 to take second place behind Georgia Southern. Other notable scores came from Sparks and
Jake Deane, who each shot 88/100 to just miss the team cut-off.
In the Women's Division I High Overall competition,
Grace Corselli took second with a score of 280/300.
Tristan Stubbs won the Men's High Overall title by four targets outright with an impressive 293/300.
Klayton McGee entered a shoot-off with 289/300 and ultimately finished second.

Lindenwood also competed in the Federal High Over All Collegiate Cup side-event which consisted of a combination of all 600 targets to determine a winner out of 3,000 total targets.

The Division I competition included squads from Boise State, Alabama, Charleston Southern, Georgia Southern, Nebraska, Utah State, Tarleton State, and Jacksonville. The Lions won a total of 26 trophies including eight team-based crowns and 18 individual.
