Lugg Wins Discus in Lions First Day at the OVC Outdoor Championships

On Thursday, the Lions competed in the first day of the OVC Track and Field Outdoor Championships. After the first of three days of competition the men's team sits in fourth place with 11 points and the women's team sits in fourth with 14 points. Listed below are the top performances from day one of competition.

Heptathlon – Kinsey Dueker, currently sits in fifth place through the first four events
400m Hurdles – Martina Martinez, placed second in the prelims, qualified for the finals
Discus – Kimberly Lugg (49.21m), placed first in the finals
