Lindenwood track and field student-athlete Alessandra Obrist is set to compete for Guatemala at the Central American Caribbean Games this Friday in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

A native of Rolla, Mo., Obrist grew up in the United State, but has dual citizenship with Guatemala will have her first second opportunity on the national stage after competing in the Central American Games last October.

During indoor season, Obrist competed in seven meets with her best finish in the pole vault being third at the Show Me Showdown with a mark of 3.38m. In outdoor, she competed in six meets and set a PR in the 100 at the Cougar Classic with a time of 14.08. She topped her indoor mark in the vault with a mark of 3.45m.
