CARBONDALE, ILL. – On Friday and Saturday, women's track and field competed at the Saluki Fast Start. To start off the 2024-25 track and field slate, Lindenwood boasted a strong performance, with personal records broken, and strong finishes.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Shot Put –
Aliyah Robertson finished in fourth, pushing the shot 13.00 meters.
High Jump – Mireya Simpson (1.61m) set a new personal record, cementing her into Lindenwood's top 10 finishes of all time in the high jump.
Long Jump –
Christelle Barafundi placed fourth, jumping 5.54 meters in her first meet as a Lion.
Kinsey Dueker (5.33m) set a new personal best in the indoor long jump.
60-Meter –
Gabby Russina (7.87) placed 14
th in the prelims, setting a new personal best.
400-Meter –
Gabriella Evangelista De La Rosa placed 24
th, running a 1:05.15 400-meter dash.
One Mile Run –
Kadence Berry placed 12
th running a 5:39.33 mile.
3000 Meter –
Kadence Berry (11:10.65) placed ninth.
Pentathlon –
Kinsey Dueker (3259) placed eighth, setting a new personal best.
