The Atlantic Hockey America Conference announced the players of the week for October 6-12 on Tuesday afternoon which featured
Tatiana Blichova as the AHA's Rookie of the week for her performance against Merrimack College over the weekend.
The Freshman Forward from Presov, Slovakia totaled three points in two games against the Warriors, scoring two goals and adding one assist. In the win over Merrimack last Friday, Blichova assisted on
Molly Henderson's goal that tied the game at two in the first period and scored both of her goals in the third period. Her second goal of the night came on the power play, which was the second power play goal scored on the season for the Lions. She finished the weekend with 11 shots on goal, which led all Freshman for Lindenwood.
Blichova currently ranks tied for first on the team in points (4), and ranks second on the team in shots on goal with 28. She becomes the first Lion to win a player of the week award in the AHA for the 2025-26 season.
Lindenwood will return to action on October 24 as they will begin conference play on the road at #6 Penn State. Puck drop is set for 1 p.m. CT.
