OZARK, Mo. - Lindenwood beach volleyball (2-0, 0-0 OVC) swept on day on of the Missouri State Tournament with wins over Hendrix College and Park University (Mo.). The Lions have started their 2025 season with a 2-0 record, the first time in program history that Lindenwood has started 2-0.
MATCH ONE
Lindenwood - 5
Hendrix College - 0
Lindenwood opened up the Missouri State Tournament with a 5-0 victory over Hendrix College. The Lions remain undefeated against Hendrick since the start of the program back during the 2022-23 academic year.
The number five pair of
Rebecca Janke and
Aubrey Sheppard started the weekend with a 2-0 sweep with scores of 21-12 and 21-8.
Taylor Gentemann and
Gabby Belcher followed that with another 2-0 sweep of their own with scores of 21-8 and 21-18.
Kaelyn Putz and
Katie Bockhorst were the third Lindenwood pair with a 2-0 sweep in the number three pair with scores of 21-15 and 21-14.

Annalie McWhorter went the distance in three sets with scores of 19-21, 21-18 and 15-5. The number one pair of
Nyah Wilson and
Abby VanBuskirk also swept with scores of 21-13 and 21-12.
MATCH TWO
Lindenwood - 4
Park University (Mo.) - 1
Lindenwood ended Friday's two matches with a 4-1 victory over Park University. Janke and Shepard wrapped up Friday in the number five pairs with scores of 21-16 and 21-12. Lindenwood went undefeated at the number five pairs.
Gentemann and Belcher went the distance in their two sets with scores of 25-23 and 25-23. Bockhorst and Putz rounded out the number three pairs of 21-6 and 21-11. Jacobs and McWhorter were the lone loss of the afternoon with scores of 21-18, 17-21 and 8-15.
VanBuskirk and Wilson ended Friday with scores of 21-14 and 21-14 in the number one pairs.
