MARTIN, Tenn. – The Lindenwood beach volleyball team (18-8, 7-3 OVC) fell 3-2 against Chattanooga in a hard-fought OVC Championship semifinal on Friday afternoon. The Lions will now face the winner of UT Martin and Morehead State on Saturday morning with a spot in the conference final on the line.
Lindenwood took a 1-0 lead in the match after
Myah Hough and
Kaelyn Putz rolled to a dominant straight set win at the fives.
Lexie Schauffler and
Katie Bockhorst forced a third set at the fours but fell short in the extra frame as UTC tied the match.
Aubrey Sheppard and
Gabby Belcher came out on top of an extremely competitive No. 3 matchup, winning the final two sets after dropping their opener to secure the go-ahead point for LU.
After the Mocs took the ones in straight sets to even the score,
Abby Jacobs and
