MARTIN, Tenn. – The Lindenwood beach volleyball team concluded their season at the OVC Championship on Saturday afternoon after falling to Chattanooga in the tournament final. The Lions finish the campaign with a program-record 19 wins after reaching their second ever OVC Championship Final.

Lindenwood defeated UT Martin 3-1 on Saturday morning to advance to the championship match.

After the Skyhawks won the fives in straight sets to take a 1-0 lead, Lexie Schauffler and Katie Bockhorst pulled out a gutsy 2-1 win at the fours, ending the third set on a 5-1 run to even the match.

UTM took the first set in both the ones and the threes, but the Lions refused to be denied their spot in the tournament final and clawed their way back for 2-1 wins at both positions to secure three points for the win.
