EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. - The Lindenwood women's track and field team finished their day at the SIUE Cougar Classic with a fourth overall finish scoring 80 points. There were a total of eight podium finishers for the Lions as the kick-off the 2025 Outdoor Season.
Sa'Nijah Houston was the star of the show after breaking the Lindenwood school record in the 400 meter with a final time of 53.79. This was also good for first at the meet and ranks 54th in all of Division I. Houston also finished in second in the 200 meter with a final time of 24.21.
The other first place finish for Lindenwood was the 4x100 meter relay team of Houston,
Kristen Hendricks,
Jyrah Powell and
Chanel Honeywell as they finished with a time of 46.80. Honeywell would go on to place third in the 100 meter (12.24) and 200 meter (24.90).
Kinsey Dueker made an appearance on the podium finishing in second in the high jump portion with a height of 1.61 meters.
Kimberly Lugg also claimed a silver standing with a 46.33 meter throw in the discuss.
Aliyah Robertson rounds out the top three finishers with a third place finish in the shot put with a toss of 13.05.
