Zach Solomon of the Lindenwood men's volleyball team has been named to the second team all-MIVA as announced by the conference on Wednesday.
Solomon made an immediate impact for the Lions after transferring from MIVA foe Purdue Fort Wayne. In 81 sets played across 22 matches, Solomon dished out an average of 10.47 assists per set, which ranks second in the conference.
The Muskego, Wis. native had eight matches with 45 or more assists, including a career-high 55 against Maryville on February 1. He also led the team in digs with 128 and tied his career-high with 13 in a match on two different occasions this season.
This season, the junior setter was named MIVA Offensive Player of the Week once this season and was also a threat from the service line, compiling a team-high 35 aces. He also hit .333 with 53 kills during the year.
Solomon and the rest of the Lions will be back in action this Saturday in the MIVA Quarterfinals, taking on No. 15 Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio. First serve is set for 4:00 p.m. CT.
