On Thursday, the Atlantic Sun Conference released its preseason women's lacrosse poll. Lindenwood was picked to finish fifth and earned 44 points.

Defending champion Liberty was selected atop the conference with seven first place votes and 79 points, followed by Jacksonville, Coastal Carolina, and new ASUN member, Delaware who round out the top four.

With Lindenwood in fifth, Queens, Kennesaw State Stetson, and Austin Peay round out the poll

Luci Selander was named to the Preseason All-ASUN Team after an outstanding junior campaign. Selander led the ASUN in both points per game (5.13) and goals per game (3.60), ranking top 15 nationally in both categories. She totaled 58 goals, 23 assists, and 81 points, with six games of 6+ points and an 11-point performance at Kennesaw State. Selander was a three-time ASUN Offensive Player of the Week, First Team All-ASUN, and the ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

The Lions will open the season at home, taking on Kent State on February 6 at 2:00 p.m. inside Hunter Stadium.
