Molly Henderson Named AHA Scholar Athlete Of The Year

On Wednesday afternoon, the Atlantic Hockey America Conference announced their annual Player of the Year awards. Senior Forward Molly Henderson was on that list as the AHA's Scholar Athlete of the Year. Henderson has posted a cumulative GPA of 4.0 during her time at Lindenwood University and has excelled not only off the ice, but on the ice as well.

"Molly, which all of you know, is an exceptional student and athlete. She is most deserving of this honor. It was a privilege to be her A&P instructor." said Susan Gustafson, a professor in the College of Science, Technology, & Health department at Lindenwood.

The exercise science and health and wellness major not only posted a 4.0 GPA, but she also recorded a career-high 31 points on the ice during the 2025-26 season. During AHA games, Henderson led the Lions with 25 points by scoring 14 goals and adding 11 assists. The Senior from Rockford, Ill scored her first career hat trick on January 16, 2025 in a 3-2 win over Delaware, and finished conference play with nine mufti point games. On January 24, 2026 at Syracuse, Molly recorded four third period points to lead the Lions to a 4-0 shutout victory over the Orange. Her four points recorded in that game was a career-high as well.
