BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Abby Jacobs and Annalie McWhorter of Lindenwood Beach Volleyball have been named Ohio Valley Conference Pair of the Week following their performance at the Beach Bear Bash last weekend.

Jacobs and McWhorter posted a 3-1 overall record – including a perfect 3-0 mark as the No. 1 pair – picking up wins against Eastern Kentucky, Central Arkansas, and Southwest Baptist.

The duo started the weekend with a 2-1 comeback win against EKU, dropping the first set 16-21 before flipping the script with a 21-16 win in set two to force a third set, which they won 15-7.

The pair swept Central Arkansas (23-21, 21-10) to finish Friday's action for their second 2-0 win against the Bears this season. They were pushed by Southwest Baptist on Saturday, but prevailed 2-1 against the Bearcats (21-12, 23-21, 16-14).

As a pair, Jacobs and McWhorter are now 6-2 overall this season with a 6-1 record at the ones.

The Lions return to the sand this weekend with a pair of home matches. LU opens conference play against EIU on Saturday at 3:00 pm. Before hosting McKendree for Senior Day on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
