MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Lindenwood beach volleyball team (16-6, 6-2 OVC) split a pair of OVC matches against Tennessee Tech (4-25, 0-8) and Chattanooga (19-4, 8-0 OVC) on Friday. The Lions opened the weekend with a sweep of the Golden Eagles before falling to the Mocs in the afternoon session.  

Lindenwood 5, Tennessee Tech 0
The Lions began the day with an early morning sweep of Tennessee Tech to move their record against the Golden Eagles to 2-0 on the season, with the Lions taking both matchups 5-0.

Lindenwood won four of five pairs in straight sets, with the No. 4 pairing of Lexie Schauffler and Katie Bockhorst securing the match clinching point with a 2-0 win to improve their overall season record to 10-6.

Meanwhile, Aubrey Sheppard and Gabby Belcher completed the sweep with a 2-1 win at the threes to extend their current winning streak to four matches, which is longest on the team.

Lindenwood 0, Chattanooga 5
Lindenwood suffered a 5-0 loss against Chattanooga on Friday afternoon. It was the Lions' first time being swept this season, as they dropped to 0-2 against the Mocs.

Lexie Schauffler and Katie Bockhorst pushed the no. 4 matchup to a third set but fell narrowly (15-13) in the final frame. Nyah Wilson and Susanna Beretti also forced a third set at the ones but were unable to claim the deciding stanza.
