FIRST SERVE
The Lindenwood beach volleyball team heads to Martin for the 2026 OVC Beach Volleyball Championship this week. The Lions finished tied for second in the regular season standings and will play as the tournament's No. 2 seed. LU will face the winner of No. 3 seed UT Martin and No. 6 seed Tennessee Tech on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. to begin their pursuit of the OVC crown and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

THE FIELD
Chattanooga claimed its third-straight OVC regular-season crown and second outright. The Mocs will be the No. 1 seed with Lindenwood as the No. 2 seed due to tiebreaker criteria over No. 3 UT Martin. Morehead State is the No. 4 seed and is followed by Eastern Illinois and Tennessee Tech.

ALL-CONFERENCE
Lindenwood placed a program-record six athletes on this season's All-OVC Teams, as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning. Gabby Belcher, Susanna Beretti, and Nyah Wilson were named to the First Team, while Abby Jacobs, Annalie McWhorter, and Aubrey Sheppard were selected to the Second Team.

HISTORY MADE
The Lion's 17-7 overall record set a new program high mark for wins in a season, surpassing the previous record of 16 wins set in 2024. The Lions also surpassed their previous high for regular season conference wins with an OVC record of 7-3.

MILESTONE TRACKER
Katie Bockhorst became the first Lindenwood beach volleyball player to reach 50 career wins earlier this season.
Nyah Wilson is currently two wins away from reaching the same milestone. She secured her 14th win of the season against McKendree on April 11th to set a new career high.
Gabby Belcher and Aubrey Sheppard also set new career highs for wins in a single season with 18 apiece, including 16 as a pair.

LAST TIME OUT
Lindenwood split both days at last week's OVC Weekend to conclude the regular season. The Lions opened play with a 5-0 sweep of Tennessee Tech on Friday morning before suffering their first sweep of the season at the hands of UTC that afternoon. On Saturday, LU defeated Morehead State 3-0 before falling 3-2 against UT Martin in the finale. Gabby Belcher and Aubrey Sheppard led Lindenwood with three wins as a pair on the weekend.
