Four From Lacrosse Earn Academic All-ASUN Honors

On Monday, the Atlantic Sun released its women's lacrosse All-Academic Teams, which featured four student-athletes from Lindenwood lacrosse: Luci Selander, Alissa DiGiacinto, Reese Krieger, and Taylor Coughlin.

Selander holds a 3.95 GPA while pursuing her degree in healthcare management. On the field, she leads the Lions in goals (43), assists (27), and points (70). The Inver Grove Heights, Minn. native is tied for third in the ASUN, averaging 2.53 goals per game and she has four games with at least five goals so far this season. A senior attack, Selander also ranks top five in three other offensive categories. Her 4.12 points per game ranks third, while she averages 6.35 shots per game which also ranks third. She sits fifth in the conference in assists per game at 1.58. Selander was also named Offensive Player of the Week once during the season.

DiGiacinto holds a 4.0 GPA and is majoring in physical education. The Brooklin, Ontario native has started all 17 games so far this season and ranks second behind Selander in all offensive categories. On the year, she has 51 points, coming from 36 goals and 15 assists, ranking fourth in shots per game and 10th in goals per game. She has compiled 111 draw controls on the year, averaging 6.53 per game, ranking sixth.

Krieger has a 3.65 cumulative GPA and majors in criminal justice. On the field, she has started 16 games so far this season and has 34 total points coming from 31 goals and three assists. The Easton, Pa. native has four games with three or more goals on the year and has two game-winning scores, ranking second on the team. She has scooped up 13 ground balls this season, tying her for fourth on the team.

Coughlin has a 4.0 while pursuing her MBA. In her first year as a Lion, she has started 15 games and has made 135 saves this season, which ranks third in the ASUN. Coughlin has registered five games during the year with 10 or more saves. The Hespeler, Ontario native averages 8.44 saves per game, third best in the conference and leads the ASUN in ground balls per game at 2.81.

The Lions will open the ASUN Tournament tomorrow in a quarterfinal matchup against Coastal Carolina at 2:00 p.m. CT in Jacksonville, Fla.
