Lindenwood's women's golf team had the top trio at the Maryville Fall Warm-Up and finished second as a team at its first event of 2008-09. The Lady Lions top three golfers all finished in the Top 10 out of 52 area golfers.
Lindenwood finished with a team score of 319, finishing two shots behind the champion Rend Lake CC. The team defeated eight other programs, including NAIA McKendree and Missouri Baptist and NCAA Maryville, Missouri-St. Louis and Washington.
Claudia Rojas was third in the individual standings as she shot a team-high 76. Two other golfers shot under 80 as
Emily Tebow tied for fifth with a 78 and
Marcella Ax tied for seventh after carding a 79.
Rounding out the Lady Lions team was
Grace Weber with an 86 and
Katrina Walker with a 93.
Lindenwood will be in action again on Sept. 20-21 at the Screaming Eagles Classic in Evansville, Ind.
