The Lindenwood women's golf team continued its string of second-place team finishes this week. The Lady Lions was second out of three teams at its annual Fall Invitational that ended on Friday.
William Penn won the event after shooting a 679. Lindenwood finished with a 701 after shooting rounds of 358 and 343. John A. Logan CC was third with a score of 771.
The duo of
Julieta Rotzinger and
Marcella Ax continue to lead the Lady Lions. Rotzinger was second overall with a 162 after she shot rounds of 81 and 81. She finished five shots behind the medalist. Ax had an 86 in round one and an 81 in the second round. Her final score of 167 was good for third place.
Sarah Fraser finished 10th overall with a 185, two shots better than teammate
Kasey McCammack.
Jill Eader rounded out the team scoring with a 192.
Lindenwood also had three players compete as individuals.
Shelby Soutier shot a 187,
Justine Decock carded a 193, and
Isabel Mersch shot a two-day total of 225.
Lindenwood ends the fall portion of its schedule with the conclusion of this tournament.
