The No. 19 Lindenwood women's golf team ended its regular season on Tuesday by winning the Park Invitational. The victory was the fourth tournament win for the Lady Lions this season.
The Lady Lions dominated the tournament from the very start and won by 29 strokes. Lindenwood shot rounds of 329 and 334 and its final total of 663 was its second-best tournament of the spring season.
Marcella Ax led the Lady Lions and was runner-up overall. She shot rounds of 79 and 80, finishing three shots behind the tournament champion. Ax has now shot 160 or better in four straight tournaments for the Lady Lions.
Megan Burgress was third overall and
Julieta Rotzinger came in fourth. Burgress shot a 161, including a round of 80 on day one. Rotzinger also had her best day on Monday with an 81, and she finished with a 165.
Rounding out the team was
Kasey McCammack with a 184 and
Gabi Hitch with a 186. Both players contributed one round under 90 to the team score.
Lindenwood will next compete in the HAAC Championship on May 2-3 in Lawrence, Kan.
