The Lindenwood women's golf team had to battle both the weather and a challenging field of mostly NCAA Division II programs on Sunday and Monday at the Screaming Eagles Classic. The Lady Lions finished 15th out of 18 squads at the competition.
The Lady Lions shot rounds of 376 and 379 for a two-day total of 755. Indianapolis won the tournament with a team score of 615.
Marcella Ax led Lindenwood at the event. She was tied for 32nd place after a first round score of 85. She then moved up eight spots after a 78 for the second 18 holes.
Kasey McCammack was second on the team with a 192 and
Sarah Fraser was close behind with a 194. McCammack had her best round with a 94, and Fraser's top round was a 92.
Shelby Soutier finished with a 206, and Jillian Eader rounded out the squad with a 222.
Lindenwood is off until early October when it competes in the Oklahoma Baptist Fall Invitational.
