The Lindenwood women's golf team ended its 2012 season by winning a dual against Kansas Wesleyan. The Lady Lions finished with a two-round score of 645 and they defeated Kansas Wesleyan by 176 strokes.
The Lady Lions took the first two spots in the individual rankings which also included individuals from Hannibal-LaGrange, the host school, Stephen, and Lyon. Megan Burgress won medalist honors after shooting a seven-over 151. She shot even par on the second day and ran away with the title by nine shots.
Abigail Beirne was runner-up with a 160. She had a low round of 79.
Marcella Ax was fourth overall with a score of 166 and
Julieta Rotzinger tied for fifth with a score of 168. Rounding out the team was
Kasey McCammack with a 176.
Several Lady Lions also competed as individuals at the event.
Shelby Soutier shot a 198,
Isabel Mersch carded a 201, Jillian Eader finished with a 203, and
Sarah Fraser shot 213.
