On Monday, the weather washed out the second round of the Screaming Eagle Women's Golf Classic in Evansville, Ind. The Lady Lions golf squad finished tied for fifth at the event after shooting a 332 during Sunday's first round.
Lindenwood had a balanced effort with all five players shooting in the 80s.
Abigail Beirne led the team with an 80. She shot a 40 for both the front and back nine holes and tied for 16th overall.
Sydney Hawley carded an 82 and tied for 29th. Maddy Piccininni and
Alanna Haynes both shot an 85, and
Julieta Rotzinger shot an 87.
Indianapolis won the tournament with a 288 and Indianapolis' Jenny Konop won medalist honors with a seven-under 65.
Lindenwood will see Indianapolis again at its next tournament, the Indianapolis Invitational, which is on Sept. 23-24.
