The Lady Lions golf team finished sixth out of 17 teams at the Lindenwood hosted MIAA Fall Preview at Whitmoor Country Club in Weldon Spring, Mo.

This was the second-highest finish of the season for the team coming off last week's second-place showing.

Sophomore Madelyn Piccininni led the Lady Lions once again with some outstanding play. After day one she was in the top-five and finished in the 14th position with a score of 158. This was yet another top-15 finish for the sophomore.

Last week's team leader, Alanna Haynes, shot a 160 for second best on the team and a tie for 16th place overall in the event. She improved from her 82 on day one to a 78 on day two moving up the rankings into the top 20 for consecutive tournaments.

Abigail Beirne shot a 165 over the two-day event good enough to finish 25th making three Lady Lions in the top 25 for the school-hosted event.

Central Oklahoma took home the championship at the event as a team and had the event's top individual scorer.

This was the final event of the 2013 portion of the season with the team resuming play in the spring.
