At The Screaming Eagles Classic hosted by Southern Indiana, the Lindenwood women's golf team finished seventh out of 12 teams.

The team was in eighth place following their first round, however improved in round two Monday to move up a spot in the final standings.

Sophomore Madelyn Piccininni provided a bright spot for the team. She shot an 80 in round one followed up by a 75 in round two for a total of 155. Her score was good enough for a top-10 finish out of 83 golfers that took part in the event.

Alanna Haynes shot a 161 over the two-day event, placing in a tie for 28th overall. Abigail Beirne shot a 165 placing in 37^th to round out the top three golfers for the Lady Lions.

The UINDY Fall Invitational is the next event for the team. It is hosted by the University of Indianapolis Sept. 22-23 in Indianapolis.
