The Lindenwood Lady Lions golf team finished in third place at the Fort Hays State Invitational over the weekend in Hays, Kan.

The tournament started off well for the Lady Lions finishing the first round with a score of 311, which was good for second place.

Unfortunately, the second round was not as kind to Lindenwood. The Lady Lions shot 14 shots more for a round of 325, which pushed them to third. Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State finished ahead of Lindenwood and Missouri Western was right behind in fourth.

Alanna Haynes was the team's highest finisher with a fourth place finish. She shot a first round 73 then followed it up with a 79. Alexandra Wheeler finished in 12
th followed by Yolanda Rotzinger and
Madelyn Piccininni who placed in a tie for 17
th.

Up next for the Lady Lions is a tournament at Central Oklahoma on Oct. 6-7.
