The Lindenwood women's golf team finished in eighth place out of 16 teams at the UCO Kickingbird Classic in Edmond, Okla. The Lady Lions finished with a two-day total of 669. Oklahoma Christian finished with the top score of 611.
Lindenwood finished behind just two other MIAA schools. The Lady Lions finished behind Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State but finished ahead of Central Missouri, Northwest Missouri, Nebraska-Kearney, Missouri Western, Fort Hays, Southwest Baptist, and Lincoln.
Maddy Piccininni was Lindenwood's top finisher placing in 21st place with a score of 161. She shot an 80 in round one followed by an 81 in the final round.
Julieta Rotzinger was in 12
th place after round one after shooting a 78 but followed that up with an 88 in round two to finish in 31
st.
Alanna Haynes also finished in the top 50 after a total of 168.
Sydney Hawley and
Abigail Beirne finished in 54
th and 58
th respectively.
Lindenwood will be back in action on March 10
th at the Spring thaw Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz.
