The Lindenwood women's golf team won the Fort Hays State Invitational that was held in Phoenix, Arizona over the weekend. The Lady Lions shot a two-day total of 652 which was nine shots better than Northwest Missouri State and 19 shots better than Southwest Minnesota State which finished third.

Lindenwood was trailing by two strokes after the first round to Northwest Missouri State. But day two was a different story. The Lady Lions shot a tournament low 321 and ran away with the first place spot.

Madelyan Piccinni shot a 79 in round one and two to take the individual title. She beat her teammate
Alanna Haynes by three strokes.
Julieta Rotzinger finished in ninth place followed by
Sydney Hawley in 12
th and
Abigail Beirne also finished in the top 20.

The Lady Lions will be back in action on April 6
th when they participate in the Maryville Spring Invitational.
