Lady Lions Finish in Fourth Place at MIAA Championship

The Lindenwood women's golf team finished in fourth place at the MIAA Championships that took place in Lawrence, Kan. over the past three days. Central Oklahoma won the conference tournament by 15 shots.

Lindenwood started off the tournament shooting a total team score of 345 on day one which put them in third place. Day two was not as good to the Lady Lions as the team shot 359. The final day Lindenwood was able to play much better and shot a 354 for a three-day total of 1058.

Julieta Rotzinger was Lindenwood's highest finisher at 12th place. Rotzinger shot a total of 255 for a plus-39. The first and third rounds for Rotzinger were near the best scores of the tournament with an 80 and 82.  

Alanna Haynes finished in 14th place followed by Maddy Piccininni who placed in 17th. Abigail Beirner and Sydney Hawley finished in 33rd and 34th respectively.

Lindenwood ended its 2013-14 season and will now wait to see if the team makes the NCAA Tournament.
