The Lindenwood women's golf team placed fourth at the Oak Terrace Invite in Pana, Ill. The two-day tournament, hosted by the University of Missouri-St. Louis ended on Sunday afternoon.
The Lady Lions finished the event with a total team score of 642, completing play one stroke ahead of fifth-place Madonna University. The University of Missouri-St. Louis were the tournament champions, ending play with a total of 608 strokes. Lindenwood completed the first round of play with a total score of 329 strokes, and improved during the second round with a score of 313. The 16 stroke improvement during the second-round was the largest of any team in the tournament.
Dakota Limkemann led the way for the Lady Lions, finishing t-13th amongst the 62 competing golfers. Limkemann completed the tournament with a total individual score of 158 after shooting rounds of 80 and 78.
Madelyn Piccininni was the next highest finisher for Lindenwood, placing t-15th, with a total score of 159. During the first round of play, Piccininni fired an 81, followed by a 78 during the second round. Just behind Piccininni was
Yolanda Rotzinger who posted a score of 160, landing her t-18th. Also competing for the Lady Lions were
Alanna Haynes and
Maggie Bryant. Haynes posted a total score of 165 finishing in 23rd place, while Bryant shot a 169 ending play t-35th.
The Lady Lions will wrap up their fall season on October 19th-20th when they host the Lindenwood Fall Invitational from Weldon Springs, Mo.
