With a 19-11 victory over the Quincy Chaulkers Sunday afternoon at the Lindenwood Billiards Arena in St. Charles, Mo., the Lions extended their winning streak to five games to start the season.

Brandon Jordan led the team with a perfect 4-0 record, but so did Drake Niepoetter at 3-0 and Cole Wright at 2-0.  Tanner Nickels also contributed by posting a 3.5-1 record. 

Head coach Mark Wilson noted how important their practice regiment was to the success of the Lions.

"Many of the matches today were very close, but through reliance on our shooting system, we won the vast majority of them," he said.  "When you compete against great players, you will not rise to the occasion, but rather, you will sink to the level of your training, which is why we train so hard."

Billiards will try to extend its streak on Wednesday when the team hosts the Maplewood Shotmakers.  The opening break is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the Lindenwood Billiards Arena in the Field House in St. Charles, Mo.
