It came down to the final matches, but the Lions could not quite come back all the way as they fell to Rudi's Rackrunners 9-8 Thursday evening at the Lindenwood Billiards Arena in St. Charles, Missouri.
The Lions took an early 2-0 lead after winning the 15-Ball competition 233-229, but singles 9-Ball went the way of the Rackrunners, putting Lindenwood behind 8-6. The Lions still had a chance if they could sweep three doubles matches, but they were only able to win two.
April Larson posted a score of 50 and
Taylor Hansen 49 to lead Lindenwood in 15-Ball competition.
JP Portwood and Hansen each went 1.5-1 overall in match play to help the cause.
