The Lindenwood women's golf team placed fourth at the UCO Classic in Oklahoma City, Okla. The two-day tournament was completed on Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Lions finished the event with a total team score of 593, landing them three strokes behind Henderson State and a third-place finish. Tournament champion Northeastern State ended play with a total of 580 strokes, one stroke in front of second-place Central Oklahoma. Lindenwood completed the first round of play with a total score of 297 strokes, and improved during the second round with a score of 296.
Madelyn Piccininni led the way for the Lady Lions, finishing in 4th amongst the 83 competing golfers. Piccininni completed the tournament with a total individual score of 143, just seven strokes off of the individual lead.
Dakota Limkemann was the next highest finisher for Lindenwood, placing t-8th with a total score of 146. During the first round of play, Limkemann fired a 71, followed by a 75 during the second round, Just behind Limkemann was
Yolanda Rotzinger who posted a score of 152, landing her t-26th. Also competing for the Lady Lions were
Maggie Bryant and
Alanna Haynes. Bryant posted a 156 finishing t-44th place, while Haynes shot a 158 ending play t-50th.
The Lady Lions will continue their fall season on October 10-11 from Pana, Ill. when they take on the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
