The Lindenwood women's golf team finished in second place out of 12 teams at the Fort Hays State Spring Thaw Invitational in Mesa, Ariz.
 
The Lady Lions finished in second place 14 shots behind Minnesota State. The next closest team to Lindenwood was Western New Mexico who was nine shot behind the Lady Lions. Lindenwood started the tournament off shooting a 322 in round one followed by a 318 on the final day.
 
Yolanda Rotzinger led the Lady Lions finishing in a tie for third place. She started the tournament shooting an 82 and followed that up with a tournament low 73 to shoot an 11-over par.
 
Alanna Haynes was the next highest finisher for Lindenwood. She shot a two-round total of 159, which was good for an eighth place finish. Madelyn Piccininni was just three shots behind Hayes and finished 13^th.
 
Up next for Lindenwood is the Holiday Inn Express Classic hosted by Missouri Western on March 22.
