The Lindenwood women's golf team played to a third-place finish at the MIAA Tournament from Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Mo. The three-round, three-day tournament featured nine teams and 48 competing golfers with play wrapping up on Wednesday afternoon. Lindenwood has now finished in the top-five in eight of its 11 tournaments this season.

The Lady Lions began play on Monday with an opening round score of 324, landing in third-place after 18-holes. Lindenwood then posted consecutive scores of 322 during the second and third rounds, completing the tournament with a three-round score of 968, finishing in third-place. The Lady Lions wrapped up play with a 12-stroke lead over fourth-place Missouri Western, and fell 26 strokes behind second-place Central Oklahoma. Northeastern State won the MIAA Tournament with a three-round score of 922.
 
Madelyn Piccininni was the top finisher for the Lady Lions, placing fifth. Piccininni began the tournament with an opening round score of 81, before firing scores of 75 and 77 during the final two rounds. Piccininni finished play with 33 pars, the third most amongst all competing golfers. The top-five finish was the fourth of the season for Piccininni, who was selected to the all-tournament team.
 
Maggie Bryant tied for 13th-place, with a three-round score of 244. Bryant improved her scores over each round, posting scores of 83, 81, and 80, respectively. Bryant led the Lady Lions with four birdies.
 
Yolanda Rotzinger and Dakota Limkemann finished separated by one-stroke, with Rotzinger finishing in 16th-place and Limkemann tying for 17th-place. Rotzinger shot a 245 over three-rounds, while Limkemann posted a 246.
 
Also competing for the Lady Lions was Alanna Haynes, who finished tied for 31st-place.
 
Lindenwood will learn its NCAA postseason fate next week, as they await the release of the NCAA regional rankings.
