The Lindenwood women's golf team finished in fourth place at the Midwest Classic in Warrensburg, Mo. on Tuesday afternoon.
Lindenwood opened the tournament on Monday afternoon with a first-round score of 309, before shooting a 317 during the final round. The Lions completed the tournament with a total score of 626, landing 10 strokes behind third-place, Central Missouri. Arkansas Tech won the event with a team score of 613. Lindenwood ended the tournament with an eight-stroke lead over fifth-place, Missouri Western.
Maggie Bryant led the way for the Lions, tying for 12th place. Bryant posted scores of 78 and 77 during her two rounds, finishing with a total score of 155. Bryant ranked second on the team in pars (20) and birdies (three).
Yolanda Rotzinger finished one stroke behind Bryant, tying for 14th place with a score of 156. Rotzinger tied for the tournament lead with five birdies, and fired a team-low score of 76 during her first round.
Dakota Limkemann shot a 157 during her two rounds and tied for 17th place. Limkemann led the tournament field with 26 pars spread over the two-round tournament.
Josefina Haupt tied for 23rd place, shooting a 158 for the tournament. Haupt opened the tournament with a first-round score of 78, her best of the tournament.
Kayleigh Stevens Perez and
Reagan Snavely each tied for 35th place. Snavely, who competed as an individual, shot a 78 during the tournament's final round, her lowest single-round score of the season.
Alexandra Wheeler also competed for Lindenwood as an individual. Wheeler posted an 81 during the first round, her lowest score of the season.
Lindenwood will conclude its fall schedule on Oct. 16-17 at the Lindenwood Fall Invitational in St. Charles, Mo. The tournament will be held at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Club.
