The Lindenwood track and field teams opened their indoor seasons on Saturday in Bloomington, Ill. at the Illinois Wesleyan Titan First Chance Meet.

The story of the meet was some of Lindenwood's newcomers excelling. For the women, Mya Davis started her Lindenwood career by winning the 300m and 60m hurdles events. The other win on the day came from
Samuel Yaro, who won the men's 600m race.

Other top results for the women include
Anna Tyan finishing second in the high jump and
Tess Augustyn having a third-place showing in the weight throw.

For the men,
Michael Mlambo was runner-up in the 200m and fourth in the 60m. Bumnene Nicanor Ndebele was second in the triple jump, and fourth in the long jump.

Lindenwood will be in action again on Jan. 13 at the Gene Edmonds Open in West Lafayette, Ind.
